The All-New 2024 Lexus GX is Almost Here

The waiting is almost over. The highly anticipated 2024 Lexus GX is set to arrive this spring, offering a perfect blend of elegance, off-road capability, and luxury. Initially launched in 2002, the GX has become synonymous with mid-luxury SUV excellence. The 2024 model builds on its legacy, providing intuitive technology, thoughtful interior details, and unmatched off-road performance across six grades: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+.

Utilizing the GA-F platform, shared with the LX 600, the GX boasts enhanced body rigidity and on-road handling, adhering to the Lexus Driving Signature. The platform’s strength allows for optimal suspension performance, stable wheel articulation, and consistent tire contact. The 2024 GX introduces a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 engine with a 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission, delivering 349 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. The GA-F platform enables easy customization with Lexus dealer accessories like rooftop tents and recovery kits.

The groundbreaking Overtrail Project, introduced at the Tokyo Outdoor Show, aims to inspire global customers to explore nature through refined adventures. The new Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades fall under this initiative, offering distinct features and experiences.

Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the GX’s legendary capabilities, including Full-Time 4WD, a standard Torsen® limited-slip locking center differential, and an electronically controlled locking rear differential on Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades. The GX achieves up to a 26-degree approach angle, 24-degree breakover angle, and 21-degree departure angle. Multi-Terrain Select, Multi-Terrain Monitor, and enhanced functionality contribute to a superior off-road driving experience.

The exterior design reflects the GX’s rugged personality with a square-body profile, a bold spindle body, and a powerful front presence. The solid, powerful stance is complemented by a wide track, fender flares, and signature L-shaped light bar at the rear. The GX is offered in various exterior color options, including GX-first Incognito and exclusive bi-tone combinations for Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades.

Inside, the GX offers a duality of luxury and rugged capability. The modern and sophisticated interior features a lower, horizontal instrument panel design, a 14-inch Multimedia Touchscreen Display, and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. With seating for up to seven, including heated and ventilated seats, the GX provides a comfortable and connected driving experience.

The GX prioritizes safety and convenience with advanced technology features, such as Lexus Interface with a standard 14-inch touchscreen, Cloud Navigation, Intelligent Assistant, Digital Key, and more.
