A Glimpse into the Electric Future

The future is electric – are you ready? Last month, Lexus released their gallery and animations of future next-generation BEV Sport, Sedan, and SUV concepts. These concepts, when brought to life, will be part of the new Lexus Electrified lineup that will put Lexus on the map to sustainability in the luxury market.

The Lexus BEV Sport, the most anticipated within the concept lineup, includes bold proportions and low ride height for the perfect high-performance sports car experience. This model symbolizes the luxury of the Lexus brand, as well as reviving the spirit of the iconic Lexus LFA which left the Lexus lineup in 2012. Take the roads by storm with an acceleration from 0-60 mph and a cruising distance that could exceed 430 miles thanks to the possible use of solid-state batteries.

Since 2005, Lexus has been at the forefront of pioneering electric vehicles in the luxury market. This began with the launch of the RX400h, the world’s first premium hybrid electric SUV, and the line-up has since grown to ten electrified models. Over 2 million of these models have reached the road, contributing to a reduction of approximately 19 million tons of CO2 emissions – a reduction equivalent to the output of approximately 300,000 passenger cars each year for the past 15 years.
