The Lexus RX Returns for 2025 with a Black Line Special Edition

September 23rd, 2024 by

The 2025 Lexus RX lineup is set to expand with the introduction of the limited-run RX 500h Black Line Special Edition package, adding a distinctive new option to this best-selling model. This exclusive package, available only on the RX 500h F SPORT Performance, features a striking black exterior with unique design elements, including 21-inch split-five-spoke wheels in black and eye-catching orange brake calipers.

In addition to the Black Line Special Edition, the 2025 RX introduces the new F SPORT Design grade, available on both the RX 350 and RX 350h models. This new grade brings the total number of RX trims to seven: Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, F SPORT Handling, F SPORT Performance, and F SPORT Design.

Black Line Special Edition Package

Limited to just 500 units across the U.S. for the 2025 model year, the Black Line Special Edition enhances the RX 500h F SPORT Performance with a bold Incognito exterior color, blacked-out styling accents, and 21-inch split-five-spoke wheels with a black finish. The package also features orange brake calipers—making their debut on the RX. Inside, the sporty theme continues with a black interior and gray stitching for a refined, cohesive look.

F SPORT Design

The new F SPORT Design grade, available on the RX 350 and RX 350h, builds on the Premium trim and offers F SPORT Handling-inspired exterior elements, such as a distinctive F SPORT front fascia, grille, rear valence, and 21-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with a gloss black metallic finish. Customers can choose from six exterior colors: Ultra White, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Copper Crest, and Grecian Water. The interior features Birch and Black options with Black Open Pore Wood trim.

GA-K Platform Advantages

The 2025 RX is built on the GA-K platform, known for its low center of gravity and advanced structural integrity. Utilizing high-strength metals and innovative adhesives, the platform provides enhanced rigidity and driving stability. Measuring 192.5 inches in length with a wheelbase of 112.2 inches, the RX features a multi-link rear suspension design that ensures consistent performance across various driving conditions. Additionally, the GA-K platform offers ample legroom for rear passengers and generous cargo space, with a low back door trim for easier loading.

The 2025 RX models are expected to arrive in dealerships later this year. Pricing details will be available closer to the release date. To learn more about the 2025 RX and the available trims, click here.
