TL-MODA and Lexus of Northborough Help Worcester Students Start the School Year

The Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association (TL-MODA), in partnership with Toyota USA, The Salvation Army, and local organizations, continues its mission to support students nationwide through the annual Back to School Drive! This initiative provides thousands of children with new backpacks filled with essential school supplies, giving them the tools they need for a confident start to the school year.
For the 2025 drive, Toyota USA awarded a grant to fund 16,900 backpacks, many of which included a $10 Walmart gift card to help families purchase additional necessities. Backpack recipients typically register in advance through their local Salvation Army, ensuring that the support reaches those who need it most.
In Worcester, Massachusetts, the impact was felt close to home. On August 15, The Salvation Army Worcester Citadel hosted a local distribution event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanks to Toyota’s generous support and a partnership with Lexus of Northborough, area students received brand-new backpacks, school supplies, and gift cards, helping them step into the classroom prepared and inspired.
Since its founding in 2001, TL-MODA has worked to empower minority Toyota and Lexus dealers by providing strategic resources to enhance competitiveness, personal growth, and community engagement. The Back to School Drive reflects that mission in action, combining corporate commitment and local dealership involvement to create a meaningful difference for families across the country.
