Lexus Vasser Sullivan Secures Third Straight Podium at Laguna Seca

The Vasser Sullivan No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 team continued their strong run with another impressive second-place finish in the GTD class at Sunday’s Monterey SportsCar Championship at Laguna Seca. Drivers Jack Hawksworth and Parker Thompson once again showcased determination and talent, leading the way for Lexus Racing with their third consecutive runner-up finish following solid performances at Sebring and Long Beach.
Starting from seventh on the grid, Parker Thompson made an electrifying move at turn one, vaulting from P7 to P2 in just seconds. He went on to grab the early race lead before handing off to Jack Hawksworth, who delivered a composed and consistent closing stint to secure another podium for the No. 12 entry.
Meanwhile, the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 in the GTD PRO class, piloted by Aaron Telitz and Marvin Kirchhöfer, fought through adversity to bring home a seventh-place finish. After advancing into sixth early in the race, Telitz was forced off track by another car just before the first pit stop, compromising the car’s handling for the remainder of the event. Despite the challenge, the duo managed the damage and completed the race with resilience.
The No. 12’s podium finish helped Lexus move up to second in the GTD manufacturer standings, trailing only Mercedes-AMG. The No. 14 team remains in seventh in GTD PRO points.
Next Stop: Detroit Grand Prix
