Lexus Racing Celebrates Double Podium Finish

Lexus Racing enjoyed a standout weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, with the Vasser Sullivan team earning a victory and a runner-up finish in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The impressive double podium showcased the performance and reliability of the Lexus RC F GT3 while strengthening the team’s championship campaign.

Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat delivered a dominant performance in the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3, capturing their second consecutive GTD PRO class victory. After a strong opening stint from Hawksworth, a well-executed pit strategy allowed Barnicoat to take the lead, where he controlled the remainder of the race and led the final 47 laps to the checkered flag.

The victory marked a major milestone for Lexus, representing the 20th IMSA win for the Lexus RC F GT3 and the 18th victory for Vasser Sullivan Racing. It was also the team’s second GTD PRO win of the 2026 season and the first-ever Lexus victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The success continued in the GTD class, where Aaron Telitz and Benjamin Pedersen secured a second-place finish in the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3. Pedersen moved into the class lead early in the race before handing the car over to Telitz, who maintained a strong pace throughout the closing stages to earn the team’s second podium finish of the season.

The double podium highlighted another exceptional weekend for Lexus and Vasser Sullivan Racing, with both teams gaining valuable championship points as the season continues.

Lexus Racing now turns its attention to the next round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, a six-hour endurance race at Wisconsin’s famed Road America, where the team will look to continue its winning momentum.
